Meerkat manners

Once in Africa Wallace and Cinnaspy tried their best to track down my parents. As Africa is a big continent they were having a hard time covering the space efficiently. Originally they tried putting out some chocolate to try and lure my parents but the chocolate just ended up melting and making a mess.

On one of their treks they came across this meerkat (above). It was, seriously, the most that the furry creature could do just to turn his/her head. All that Wallace and Cinnaspy wanted to do was to ask whether he/she had seen my parents. As far as my little green friends are concerned there is no such thing as Meerkat manners (ed. Umm...Toffee I think the show is Meerkat Manor)

Wallace & Cinnaspy run on "Dunkin"

After a few hours of reflecting/regrouping Wallace and Cinnaspy consumed a gi-normous cup of "joe" and set out to their next destination in search of my parents.

You've been mooned.

(source: Associated Press)

Last night Mom, dad 2b, my *sigh* brother Riley and I ventured outside to check out the lunar eclipse. I hope that some of my loyal readers had a chance to view this most spectacular sight! The moon is a celestial sight near and dear to my dad 2b. Firstly, my dad 2b hosts a hash house harrier run around the full moon every month. Additionally, there was a full lunar eclipse just before the Red Sox (TM) won the world series in 2004 and most importantly (to me) it was just after the "Boston Red Sox(TM)" lunar eclipse of 2004 that my mom & dad 2b first met!

Pictures of the lucky event:

Incidentally, there is a full moon the night before my parents' wedding.

p.s. my *sigh* brother wishes to thank all those that wished him a happy birthday!

It's my birthday & I'll bite/write if I want to.

Hello everyone! This is Toffee's brother Riley here (ed. sigh). I have hi-jacked my sister's site to tell the world that it is MY birthday!!! In addition to being handsome, I am also a whole 9 human years old. I hope that my mom makes me a cake like the one shown below:

mmmmmm...I am drooling already. Happy birthday to me! woof.

Mmm....beer.

After fleeing the Hampton Court Palace Wallace and Cinnaspy returned to Boston - and yes, their craniums were still intact and attached. They decided to re-group over a beer. Mmmm...beer...

Okay, it was actually non-alcoholic cider but they cannot tell the difference, really.

Off with their heads!

Wallace and Cinnaspy were in such a tizzy looking for my parents that it appeared that they blatently disregarded a few of the Hampton court grounds rules (see above). Additionally, their buddy Henry VIII (seen in an earlier blog) found out that they feasted on HIS roast beast! This infuriated the "king" and he sent word out to the guards to hunt down Wallace and Cinnaspy; once found they were to be given a special tour of the "chopping block".
Luckily, Wallace and Cinnaspy figured something was up so they high tailed it out the back gate. So long Hampton Court!

Feast or famine.

We now return again to the tale of how Wallace and Cinnaspy searched for my "lost" parents. The last few posts had Wallace and Cinnaspy searching for my beloved parents in Hampton Court palace. Well, all of this searching left Wallace and Cinnaspy very, very hungry so while they were searching the area for my parents they decided to stop by the galley kitchen in search of some grub; you know to keep up their strength and all.

Happy B.D.

What a wonderful birthday I had today! My dad 2b bought me this really cool Red Sox (TM) World Series Champions T-shirt and some very pretty flowers. Best of all my parents gave me a cake (served on their handy new cake platter) that tasted just like a meatball sandwich!! Yum-yum. I devoured that baby in no time! See...

By the way, if Steve, Sue, Zach or Max read this please do not be offended that my mom used your lovely gift to serve me my just desserts...it is just that it was the perfect prop for the picture! I really didn't even get to eat the "cake" sadly. All in all it was a great birthday...now if only I could convince my dad 2b to celebrate "birthday week" like my mom gets...

Happy V.D.!!

Happy Valentine's day to my loyal readers....but more importantly...happy birthday to ME!! Here I am pictured with my plush toy likeness "Sad Sam" early this morning. Sad Sam was a birthday gift to me from my dad 2b three years ago. If you squeeze on Sad Sam's plush birthday cake it plays "happy birthday". The only thing better would be if Sad Sam dispensed treats out of the cake. Oh well, maybe mom will make me a birthday cake and serve it to me out of the really cool cake stand that she received from a gentleman called "Williams Sonoma" (ed. thank you Sue, Steve, Zach & Max). A birthday girl can only wish. In case you were wondering I am 7 years young today.

Ah-hoooooooooo-ooo-ooo!!

A very loud (ed. and annoying) woof out to Uno the beagle who is the 2008 winner of the Westminster dog show!! Surprisingly this is the first time that a Beagle has won Best in Show. To read more about the Westminster dog show click here.

(photos: from AP & Reuters)

It goes without saying that Uno is most certainly a handsome boy; however, I think the deal was sealed by his heartfelt speech on solving world peace by giving free dog treats to all. Beagle dogs of the world unite in a worldwide howl! Ahoooooo!
Congratulations Uno. woof.

The search goes on.

Once inside the Hampton court grounds Wallace & C-spy enlisted the help of some other travellers to search for mom and dad 2b. The grounds area was huge thus Wallace tried to enlist as much help as possible.

Goin' to the Hamptons...palace, that is...

After recovering from a splitting headache from attempting to turn back time Wallace persuaded C-spy to continue the search at another nearby castle - Hampton Court. Luckily, the dynamic duo had no problem entering the grounds thanks to their newfound Canadian friend and his handy Canadian passport.

We now return to our regular programming...

Unfortunately Wallace and C-spy did not find my parents after going through the trouble of storming the castle. Wallace decided to, instead, take a trip to Greenwich, England. He felt that if he stood on the Prime Meridian and thought really hard - he could turn back time to before my parents disappeared.

Thank you!

A special thank you to Stacey's mom - who has got it goin on - because she re-posted the lost pancake video. This video was previously posted on the "Phat Tuesday" post but was lost to pancake eating...

That's phat with a PH.

HAPPY FAT TUESDAY aka Mardi Gras to my loyal readers! Now in Canada, my mother and *sigh* brother's native land, they celebrate Shrove Tuesday and/or PANCAKE TUESDAY on this day. Yes, PANCAKES!!! Mom had always wondered why people stare at her in a befuddled manner when she called today "pancake tuesday" - apparently the tradition is more of a U.K. and Commonwealth country thing. Besides eating pancakes, some people even participate in pancake races - a tradition where contestants run while carrying a frying pan complete with a pancake in it. At certain points along the course the contestant must flip the pancake successfully. I guarantee that this would be a race that I would lose overall; although I would have a personal victory of eating my pancake and NOT having to run.

In case you were wondering, YES, I did have begrudgingly only part of a pancake for breakfast. Apparently that is all that mom and dad 2b could spare their loyal chihueagle. To watch a delightful little "pancake" video featuring my pal "S" and her sister click here.

It wouldn't be a proper "Phat Tuesday" post if I didn't include some Mardi Gras photos. I found these pictures of a Mardi Gras dog parade. I wonder if these dogs had to show their mammary glands to get beads?

19 and...no.

As I write this post I bow down my head in defeat. Congratulations to Eli Manning and the N.Y. Giants - especially the defense - on a game well played. So much for a 19 - 0 season. I must now go and comfort my dad 2b with a large dose of cuteness. Woof.

...we interrupt our regular programming...

Sorry, but I had to post about the new Patriots jerseys that my mom bought us to wear while rooting the New England Patriots! Oooh, that Tom Brady is dreamy! Pictured above is my *sigh* brother in his new jersey. I have to admit that I love the "bandwagon" it is rather comfy...GO PATS!

....GO PATS!...woof.

A-maze-ing.

Once across the moat Wallace and C-spy had to put their "spidey" senses to work and find their way to the castle by navigating the numerous twists and turns of a historic maze. Once in the center of the maze they were brought to a central hub that had a secret passageway to the castle through a grotto.
This is a view from inside the grotto looking up:

Another cool picture of the bowels of the grotto. I wonder if my bowels are as colorful!? My poop certainly is sometimes!

Please sign my guest book. Woof.
