Wine-o and Cheese-o in the Gazebo

The other night we invited friends to meet us by the Charles River for a little night music.  The intention was to have a picnic and listen to the Boston Pops perform their "warm-up" concert on July 3rd.  Unfortunately, as we were preparing to leave, the skies blackened and it started to pour so our picnic plans were cancelled (I thought that just meant more food for me!). Miraculously the weather cleared up 25 minutes later however it was too late to reschedule our plans. But! Our friends Todd and Izzy had set up an impromptu picnic in Boston Common and they invited us to join them in the Gazebo (above).

Below is a picture of Todd and Izzy with my brother Riley and myself - notice how I am carefully inspecting the food?? By the way, Todd will be the officiant at my mom and dad2b's wedding next week.  Next week?!  Can you believe I can now write next week?? You may remember Todd and Izzy from my Hostess with the Mostess post.
Here's a picture of my *sigh* brother Riley, dad 2b and yours truly.
This is a little Boston terrier pup we met
Thanks for the hug Izzy!  Please excuse the red eyes - maybe it is from too much red wine??

The wedding is next week already? Maybe with last week all rainy and this week all jungle hot you will finally get some good weather.
