Green with envy.

The other day my mom left ME to go and see the Boston Red Sox play baseball with her friend SKP. You see SKP got the tickets for Mother's day and kindly asked my mom (read: not ME) to go with her. Mom tried to explain to me that this was an experience of a lifetime because the tickets were in the Green Monster but all that I could hear was "blah blah blah blah..."
Here is a picture that she took of the park...Fenway blah blah Park (Pahk):

This is a picture of the catcher "Tek" aka "Varitek"...hey Tek why don't you catch me some treats!
Next is a picture of the pitcher (Masterson) throwing to Varitek - if you take a very close look you will notice how his arm seems to be in a whacky position, like it is out of its socket.  That is funky. Seriously.

This is "Manny being Manny" up at the plate:
...and Mom wouldn't be mom if she didn't take a picture of Wally the mascot...please note that it was 93 degrees out that day so poor Wally was melting!
I allowed mom to post these pics because it was so special for her to be able to go to the ball game. I am still upset that SKP didn't invite me, however. Thank you SKP for such a wonderful afternoon with my mom!
And speaking of special...we want to say thank you to Rocky, Bear, and Angel Lacy Lulu  as well as Clover for this "Brillante award" that we are passing on to Agatha & Archie - the soon to be Barkday dawgs!  They have been so patient about waiting to open their Barkday prezzies!

My momma is all ga ga over Manny. Go figure. My peoples watched the game on the TV and kept exclaiming about how happy they were not to be all baking at Fenway. Hope your mom brought her sun block.

Hi Toffee!
Long before I came on the scene, my Mommy and Mica lived in Boston and she was a Red Sox fan. And although she jumped to the Yankees when she moved to NYC (She was still sore about how the Red Sox so unceremoniously dismissed Dwight Evans) she still thinks there is no finer place to see a game than Fenway Park!

Did she at least bring some Fenway Franks home for you???

Your pal,

Petey

Hello and Congrats on the award, Toffee and Riley!!! Sorry for not being able to visit you for a while. We're back to the blogger again after returning from Montreal.

Dad was wondering if he has spoken to your grandma and Dasha while mom was away. He said he met a very nice lady with two cockapoos at the park. Dasha doesn't have a sister or brother, does she??

We wonder if Saturday noon-ish is ok for your mom, grandma and your auntie Dasha to meet up with us. Pinot might have a surgery on Friday morning and we're not sure if he can make it but Momo will be there for sure!

Another Red Sox fan?! Have been to my brother's blog yet??

http://bigpupi.mlblogs.com

He's actually got a pro MLB blog and he writes all about the Sox! He'd be green in envy that your mom went to a game. Did you know that he ran for President of Red Sox Nation and made it to the final 9? His platform was for a section K-9, so that us pups CAN go watch a game with the humans!

Would you like to join in a Sox vs. Yankees game? Check out the rules and let Big Pupi or Mackenzie know if you're up for it!

Game info: http://www.barkability.com/2008/05/wanted-new-york.html

So far the Sox fans have those Yankee pups licked!

Please sign my guest book. Woof.
